Hello everyone, in this blog I will be giving you instructions on how to download your files that you have purchased online and how to unzip a file. Downloading a file can seem like a hard and confusing task but by the end of this blog you will feel more confident in downloading files.
For this example, we will be downloading a file from Etsy.
Step 1: Select and purchase your file.
Add all the items you will need for the project that you are trying to work on and purchase them. Select the way you would like to pay for your order and select the place your order button.
Step 2: Retrieving your newly purchased files.
After you have placed your order. You will see a new yellow box appear on the top of your screen. You will click the view download button. This will take you to all of the files you have downloaded if you purchased more than one file.
Step 3: Downloading Your Files to Your computer.
Your file can come to you in two different ways one way is a zipped file and the other is just like a regular download. I will tell you how to download both of those files. You will know which file you will be working with from the description.
This indicates that the following download is a zipped file. You will have to unzip the file to use it for your project. The instructions for unzipping a file will be at the bottom of this blog post.
This is not a zipped file and is a regular download. We will start with this file first as it is the easiest.
Next to the file you will see a download tab. You will need to click on that button to start the download.
Your file will start to download. Depending on your computer it may show up at the top or the bottom of your screen.
Step 4: Saving your files on your computer.
You will click on the open file link which will take you to your new download. You should select a place that you will remember on your computer for you to be able to go back to the file that you have saved.
Right click on the image after you have opened it and click save as. You will need to save it in that space that you have saved for it. I have created a folder on my computer for all of my downloaded files.

Mine will be saved in my Divine Creations folder which is my main folder and in my Graduation Images folder which is my sub folder. You do not need to have all these folders. This is just my preference for being able to keep all my images in order and easy to find. You can also change the name of the image from what comes up when you click on save as.
Once you have found the place that you would like to save your image. Click the save button.
Your image is now saved and ready to be used for your upcoming project.
