Hello Divine Crafters. Welcome back in this blog post we are going to be talking about puff vinyl. You can use so many different types of different vinyl’s to create some really cool projects. The newest vinyl that I have use is puff vinyl. It creates a really cool 3D and textured look to your project.

What is puff vinyl?

Puff Heat Transfer Vinyl, also known as Puff HTV, is a type of vinyl material that expands when heated, creating a puffy, raised effect. It’s made of a special foam-like material that puffs up when exposed to heat, resulting in a soft, plush finish. It almost looks like a professionally done t-shirt! Puff HTV comes in a wide variety of colors, making it perfect for adding depth and interest to any design.

Creating Your Design.

Find the design that you would like to use for your project and upload it to your design software. Puff Vinyl will expand when heated so keep that in mind when picking what design you will be using for your project. Try to avoid a design that has small or intricate details. Load it on the mat and cut it before cutting. Keep in mind that when using HTV Vinyl you must mirror the image. The difference when cutting with HTV Vinyl is that the shiny side will be facing up and not down like when you usually use HTV iron on vinyl. Once the cutting is done, carefully weed the project. Remember to take your time.  Make sure to pre-press your garment to remove any moisture. Puff vinyl is a last press vinyl  f you are going to be layering a project you will need to do the puff vinyl. Press your puff vinyl on 275 degrees for 15 seconds. If your press is to hot it will create some texture in your puff vinyl. Peel and now you have a new garment with puff vinyl.
